About

Welcome!

My name is Dana, and I’ve been crocheting for over ten years. I’m a wife and mom of three kids ages three and under.

When my oldest was born, I found that my most cherished baby gifts were those that were personalized or handmade. I’ve wanted to pay it forward, so making baby blankets has become an absolute favorite pastime.

Finding time to crochet can be a challenge with so many little ones at home, which is why my patterns are easy-to-memorize repeats that can be picked up and put down easily.

I also use dishcloths often for wiping toddler hands after meals and general cleaning, so you’ll find a few of those patterns here as well.

I hope you enjoy!

Why Oranges?

At a time when I was growing in my faith, I started noticing oranges everywhere! I’d have a difficult conversation and see an orange on the side of the road. A tray of oranges would appear in the breakroom at work on a day I registered for a religious conference. I came to see them as a sign of encouragement.

I am also so inspired by the story of St. Nicholas, who secretly gave bags of gold to a family in poverty. In some artistic depictions, the gold bags look like gold balls, making oranges a great symbol of this act of generosity (more info here).

Last, orange and green are my favorite colors. They are so cheerful, and you will see warm tones used often in my patterns.
